Griffin Lacrosse Camp 2017
The goal of the camp is to provide elementary and middle school boys with excellent instruction in the sport of lacrosse. Our goal is that each camper develops his skills and learns a great deal about the game of lacrosse. We will form two divisions for the purposes of instruction and competition. Boys in the fourth and fifth grades will be placed in "Division III" and boys in the seventh and eighth grades will play in "Division I." We will place the sixth grades in the division that works for their ability.
The morning will be spent drilling and learning the fundamentals of lacrosse in the format of stations. Each group of campers will rotate through an set of stations for skill development and reinforcement of important fundamental skills. Each camper will be assigned to a box lacrosse team, and those games will also occur in the morning.
The campers will have adequate time for practice with their teams, time in the pool, and lunch before the afternoon games begin. There will be a certified life guard on duty when campers take to the pool.
We will hold championship games on Thursday afternoon and there will be prizes for Most Improved and Camper of the Week in each division.
