Description

Are you preparing for the SSAT? Would you appreciate a course that has been developed by a veteran classroom teacher who really knows the test inside and out and who cares about your success on this test and beyond? Are you ready to prepare properly, to expand your vocabulary and core knowledge, and to truly be at ease about the test? Would you appreciate a blended approach that includes a traditional textbook, a set of flashcards, and quality instruction via recorded lessons and twice weekly Zoom sessions? Then, this course is for you!

Enrollment is now open. You can access the first unit of the course immediately, but the full course will not be available until Monday, September 7th, 2020. I want the course to be as “traditional” as possible, so I would like the time to mail you a hard copy of the SSAT books that I have always used. The package includes a math book, a verbal book, and a set of vocabulary cards (all included in the tuition).

Zoom sessions will begin Tuesday, September 15th. The plan is to hold a Zoom session for Verbal and Reading on Tuesdays and Math on Thursdays at 8pm . The Zoom sessions are meant to support and complement the recorded lessons and the homework assignments and will be driven both by me and the questions from the students.

This segment provides and overview of the SSAT. It covers the format of the test, basic strategies, and the approach we should take to this challenging test.

Unit II: Synonyms?

This lesson cover the SSAT Synonyms, which are the first 30 questions in the Verbal section. I teach this lesson first, but we do work with synonyms in every segment of the course.
